What NOT to Put Near Your Lady Parts. Your Guide to Keeping Your Cookie Jar Happy and Healthy

Happy 2020! What a better way to start the new year than talking about your lil kitty cat and how to keep her nice and healthy. After all, you two have been through a lot together. She deserves the best. Here are some tips to what to avoid in order to keep your vagina healthy.

  1. Stop douching! I know, I know. They’re supposed to clean your vagina, but the wonderful thing about the human body is that the vagina was created to clean itself out. When you douche, you do clean out the bad bacteria, but you also clean out the good bacteria which is extremely important in keeping your vagina healthy.

  2. Any topicals that are not meant for your vagina. While some may seem harmless, they can actually wreak havoc if you’re not careful, so it’s best to avoid all, especially any sort of lidocaine (like icy hot). This also includes any lotions or lubricant substitutes that are not explicitly meant for your vagina as these can increase the risk of infection. If you’re looking for a good lube, we gotchu! Try Voodoo’s Aloe Lubricant.

  3. Objects or body parts that have been inside someone else (particularly someone else’s bum). We’re not one to deny any sort of sexual adventures, just make sure you’re cleaning for anything that’s venturing between your two * openings * (or someone else’s). If not, you’re at risk for a bacterial infection.

  4. “Sex Toys” that are not actual sex toys. Again, we want you to have all of the fun in the world, but when you’re putting something inside of your vagina that was not meant to go inside of it can, again, put you at risk of infections and that’s not sexy. This also includes food. Think about the adventures that food had prior to getting into your kitchen. If you’re looking for a new sex toy, we have plenty to choose from!

Stay safe and take care of your lady bits! They’ll return the favor.
