How to Care for Your Sex Toy
There are guidebooks for just about anything, but there aren’t too many on how to care for the one thing that takes such good care of us. Our sex toys! These things are highly involved with your most intimate areas… make sure you’re keeping it clean!

Here’s the deal. There’s a good, better, best situation with sex-toy cleansers.
Good: Boiling Water. Yep! Get that water heater or pots going and rinse off your toy with some hot water to cleanse and disinfect.
Better: Classic soap & water! Fill up your sink with some water, take some hand soap, and give your baby a little scrub.
Best: Toy cleaners. These are items you can find on retailers such as Amazon and Walmart that are specifically made for cleaning your toys!
How often do I clean my sex toy?
Baby. You have to clean your sex toy after each use. I know, I’m sorry, but, like, you gotta.
What is the best way to store my sex toy?
You want to avoid situations where your sex toys, dildos, vibrators, etc… will be in a damp environment or where they will get dusty. Oftentimes, they will come with a dust cover for protection. Be sure to store your clean and dry sex toys in here! If your toy did not come with such a thing or you lost it, you can use another clean dust bag or even an old, clean t-shirt.
What is the best lubricant to use with sex toys?
Water-based lubricants are the best companions with your sex toys. Why? Silicone-based lubricants and the surface of silicon toys do not combine well, this type of lubricant can break down the toy and open up the pores which could lead to openings for bacteria to get in.
